With the arrival of the leased SD-9 for freight operations, the remaining Alcos on the line seem to have been put out to pasture pending a decision about their future. AC&J 107 is only seven years older than its replacement, having been built in 1950. Coincidentally this switcher and the HZRX SD-9 came from the same railroad, the Nickel Plate as number 107 was originally NKP 45. |
