Left side view of the 1919 Russell Snow Plow Co built snow plow for the Baltimore & Ohio. From the roster data at the B&O Museum, "Pushed by one or more locomotives, this plow's angled blade deflected the snow to the right, so that it would not block the second track of double-tracked main lines. Huddled in the cab, the operator could regulate the height and throw angle of a smaller blade located under the car body." The plow was retired in 1960 and now resides at the B&O RR Museum. Currently, it has been moved into the North Passenger Car Shop and is awaiting restoration. No photographer listed and the date is approximate. |
