Hollidaysburg. Here is a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 17 September 1955. It was published originally in his 2006 book entitled "The Pennsy In The 1950's: The Last Great Decade," page 96. Partial Caption: "L-1s #1747 and 90F75 tender, with train, at Hollidaysburg, September 17, 1955." PRR engine #1747 is an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1916 and retired in December of 1955 after 39 years of service. |
