New BNSF / Port of Vancouver sort-and-holding ladder yard being laid behind this trio of Union Pacific sisters waiting for duty (typically grain-train in our area - although there almost was a rail-to-ship transfer station for oil (which would've been the largest US west coast, supposedly) - recently vetoed by the governor amid NIMBY (Not In My BackYard) environment concerns in hopes by not allowing the terminal, world reliance on fossil fuels would somehow be reduced... instead the oil-by-rail will continue rolling through our Vancouver so it can head north and ship out from the other Vancouver (British Columbia) several hundred miles the north. |
