Johnstown Flood Wheels
This axle pair was presumably discovered undernearth the ground in 1957 when a company was building a new building on that area. The sight that they came from was where there was a devastating flood in 1889. These pair of wheels was supposed to come from a PRR Steam engine that washed off the tracks in that flood. The flood caused major damage for both the railroad and the town of Johnstown. Over 2,209 people were kiled resulting in 17 million dollars in repair, and also many buildings, engines, and freight cars were damaged or destroyed.
