This was the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas depot at Elk City in northwest Oklahoma. This was on a 305-mile line that had run from Whicita Falls up into the Panhandle to a connection with the Beaver Meade & Englewood at Forgan, and it had been abandoned through here in 1973. One block to the left was the former Rock Island depot, which was being used by Farmrail. This was on the Rock's line between Memphis and Tucumcari. |
