Remember these rolling through Corning, NY during my youth. Back when my father was datring my mother (before WW2) he could mail a letter in Corning, in time to catch the morning train and it would be delivered in Buffalo that afternoon. This was because the mail was sourted in the mail car while in route. Let

Too bad its a fake. This is really L&N 1100, painted up as Lackawanna because it is at Steamtown.

Yes you're right. During the Steamtown Foundation days, the director ordered that any equipment that would run past the Lackawanna station (now a hotel) had to painted in the DL&W gray / maroon scheme no matter what it's origin.
