The "Wanda Lee", or car 3100 was originally built as an Army medical service car 89526 in 1954 by the St. Louis Car Company. It was rebuilt by Amtrak into a "Le Pub" bar-lounge car 3406 to be used on the Montrealer. When the pub and dance floor were removed, Amtrak converted it into a cafe-lounge car. After being moved to the museum, the car was refurbished and repainted, then named in honor of our directors late wife, Wanda Lee Campbell.--courtesy the museum website |
