CB&Q 4714 SILVER DOME         
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4714, named SILVER DOME, on July 27, 1945, location unknown ( identified by a viewer as Ottumwa, Iowa ), photograph by CB&Q, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 4714 was built by Budd on Job 96119, one of three coaches ordered in February 1940, delivered in June 1940. Number 4714 was a 52 seat coach named SILVER ALCHEMY. During 1945, 4714 was rebuilt at the Aurora shops becoming the first modern vista-dome car and was re-named SILVER DOME.
