Where the freight comes from
At one time, McGehee was a big place on the Missouri Pacific, with lines going in several directions from the Little Rock-Alexandria LA main. One of them went out to the Mississippi River, another south to Tallulah LA, on which this rice elevator is located. It appears there was once a siding to the right of the building. The line is now run by the North Louisiana & Arkansas, which sometimes stations a switcher here.
