| This DEEP SOUTH STEAM EXCURSION train was waiting to leave the Southern Railway station in Hattiesburg for its trip back to New Orleans. The train consisted of former Savannah & Atlanta 4-6-2 750 with water car WT-52, Southern Railway FP7’s 6138 and 6147, and 16 cars: former New Yok Central sleeper lounge LAUREL STREAM, former Central of Georgia combine 726, lightweight Southern coaches 844, 841, 842, 843 and 845, and heavyweight cars 1070, 4061, 1067, 3659, 1068, 1087, 1086,1081 and 1056. |
