PRR 1192, L-1S, c. 1954
TRB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Rockville Bridge near Marylville, Pennsylvania, perhaps in 1954. The photographer is not identified. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1192, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during May of 1915 and retired in!February of 1955 after 40 years of faithful service. In this context, it's running backwards across the Bridge toward the Enola Yards with a string of empty hopper cars.
