LI 1149  Contributor's Pick!       
LI 1149 was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona, PA in 1930. It was used in commutter service opperating on third rail. It was rebuilt in June 1963 as one of the last MP54 cars modernized with improved lights, heat and 3-2 seating. At that time it was renumbered LI 4149. The car remained in service until it was retired 1971. The Central New York Chapter N.R.H.S. purchased the car in 1975.
