| A CN local crosses Towmen Rd. as it transitions from the former C&NW rails to the former SOO rails at Shawano Junction, WI on 8 Jul '18. This spot used to be named Fox River Junction, after several segments of the original C&NW main line through Menasha and Neenah were removed and a turnout was installed here which allows the bypass of missing C&NW rails by using former SOO rails. Train was headed back to Neenah after working Appleton, Little Chute, and Kaukauna. A white-tailed deer stands next to the Whistle Post in the foreground at right. |
