Sequatchie Valley  Contributor's Pick!
This short line is named for a local creek, and operates a cast off CSX branch in the South Pittsburg Tenn, area, with a couple of ex UP switchers. I was lucky today. I caught a short line working, and the sun came out!! I like short lines, but dont always have the patience to seek them out, as they often run on erratic schedules, and sometimes not daily. So this was a good catch. I could hear this train coming for 15 minutes. Train speed was only about 10 MPH, so he was a ways off when I first heard him. The timing turned out to be perfect, as the sun popped through just as he came around the curve.
