| A CN ballast train (Herzog ballast cars) approaches S. Mason St. as it heads southwest via former C&NW rails at Appleton, WI on 7 Nov. '18. The old, seemingly idle, industrial facility partially visible at left used to receive rail service, many years ago. The facility at 1215-1225 W. Spencer St., Appleton, WI, dates to at least the ‘50s. It was home to the John Krogh Supply Co. (a.k.a. John Krogh Wholesale Co.). They went out of business in early ‘67 and the Arrow Moving & Storage Co. moved into the facility. Signs indicate that Miller Electric and Earthkote International, Inc., where more recent occupants. |
