Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of four Pennsylvania Railroad diesel electric locomotives that were built by four different manufacturers: #9552, #9702, #9627, and #9492. #9552 was built by GM-EMD as an EH-15 in December of 1948, rated at 1,500 horsepower, later converted to an EF-15A, and retired in August of 1964. #9702 is a BF-15A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during May of 1950, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in February of 1965. #9627 is an AF-16 built by the American Locomotive Company during December of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in January of 1967. And #9692 is an FF-16 built by Fairbanks-Morse during October of 1950, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in April of 1965. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. |
