The empty oil train takes the siding to pass a southbound AEPX train that is holding the main. Not sure why they do this. It has to be more efficient for the first train to take the siding, rather than the second train, which is moving, to roll through the siding at restricted speed. Theres probably a rule for that, and I am aware of the priority of trains by timetable, but even then, northbound trains have right over southbounds. |
