Ice cold, bitter winds, and just one train at Port Robinson today. But it turned out to be a beauty! Just before noon I caught BCOL 4609 turning on the Wye at Port Robinson West, preparing to build Train 562. I waited and waited, but the train didn't leave the yard until mid-afternoon - fortunately my patience paid off, with a sparkling shot at Cambridge siding, and then after a wee chase, I caught the train again at Brookfield Road. On the point today BCOL 4609 - a Draper Taper Dash-8 - one of my all-time favorite locomotives. |
