Partial Caption: "The year was 1914, and the employees of the Juniata Locomotive Shops gathered to have their photograph taken with the first K-4 the day it left the Shops." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1737, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1914, renumbered "3750" in 1956, and retired in February of 1960 after 46 years of faithful service. |
