| Torn out track, trash, & mangled containers dominate the scene 19 hours after an NS WB trash train piled up. Track one is in service while Track two is about halfway installed. It will go into service early on the 18th but the switch destroyed in the mishap will have to wait. The crew in the center of the image is at the switch machine that survived, along with the switch heater ductwork visible to the right of them. No signals or hardware was damaged, no utility poles were knocked down, no issues with hazerdous chemicals & no injuries. NS got VERY lucky here. |
