AMTK coach 4632
Former Amtrak coach 4632 was parked outside of Pete Messina’s car repair shop in the Kansas City Southern’s WEST YARD, just outside of New Orleans. The car had been built by Budd in 1961 as Union Pacific 5525 and was subsequently Amtrak 4457 and then HERITAGE FLEET car 4632. This car arrived in New Orleans on 14 November 2000.

Union Pacific 5508-5527 were the only Budd-built coaches owned by the railroad and became Amtrak 4440-4454, 6062, 4456-4459. During 1980-81 the 19 4400-series cars were rebuilt as HERITAGE FLEET cars 4627-4645, but not in order; and in 1996 13 of these were rebuilt into 1700-series baggage cars.
