This was the outside swing hanger truck under the vestibule end of former Amtrak coach 4632 while it was parked outside of Pete Messina’s car repair shop in the Kansas City Southern’s WEST YARD, just outside of New Orleans. The car had been built by Budd in 1961 as Union Pacific 5525 and was subsequently Amtrak 4457 and then HERITAGE FLEET car 4632. This car arrived in New Orleans on 14 November 2000. |
