| A CN local bisects the intersection of N. Appleton St. and W. Packard St./W. North St. as it heads northeast via former C&NW rails at Appleton, WI on 23 Sep. '19. Train was headed for Little Chute and Kaukauna. There used to be at least five tracks crossing N. Appleton St., only the main line remains. The C&NW freight house stood just out-of-frame to the right, a team track remained for quite a while after the building was removed. The C&NW's downtown passenger depot, one of three in Appleton, would be visible to the left of the lead locomotive if it still stood. |
