The next train stop wasnt until North Branch, MN. In North Branch, the St. Croix Valley RR begins its 20ish mile trackage north to Hinkley MN where it meets the BNSF. The SCRY is jointly owned between ILSX and MLSX, and all but one engine are decorated in a sharp Northern Pacific coat of black and gold (except for the one maroon ILSX engine featured here). In North Branch the railroad serves a grain elevator that doesnt get used very often, but still does on occasion. These two engines are parked for the weekend and I would assume will pull a train in the coming week. |
