From The Text: "In a recent single year, 201 new industrial plants were located along the Pennsylvania Railroad. These, together with 60 plant expansions, represented 76,000 carloads of freight business annually. In the next 10 years, intercity freight shipments are expected to increase about 30 percent as production keeps pace with the growing population." |
