AW. Here is an image of a photo by Arlington J. Wolfe that was taken from the 24th Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1938. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6840, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. The water tank (at the far right) supplied the standpipe associated with the turntable (at the far left) that was used to turn returning helper units for another run up "The Mountain." William E.
