PRR Engine House, c. 1957
Blairsville. Here is a photo that was taken in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, c. 1957. Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's seven-stall engine house and its turntable. The five moribund steam engines pictured here have largely been displaced by the likes of the lone diesel-electric locomotive lurking at the left. Photo taken from the PRR's coaling tipple. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded.
