AW. Here is an image of a photo by Arlington J. Wolfe that was taken at the 24th Street Turntable in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1938. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #952, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during January of 1918 and retired in June of 1957 after 39 years of faithful service. It's just returned from a helper/pusher run up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin where it uncoupled and returned here, to be turned around, for yet another run up "The Mountain." William E.
