Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Rahway, New Jersey, on 16 January 1960. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad electrified passenger cars #38 and two more units whose numbers are not recorded. All are MP-54's built by American Car & Foundry. Looks to me like someone has applied some sort of field-expedient insulation to the rear-end door of car #38. ("Stoneborobranch"; #4 of 15) |
