| This view looks north to northeast at Lynn Center, IL on 1-8-2012. These are the BNSF tracks between Galesburg and the Quad Cities (Moline and Rock Island, IL with Davenport and Bettendorf, IA). I almost didn't see the concrete foundation in the lower right corner, near the sign, which may have been the site of a station, depot, or some other structure. Also, I'm not sure of the history of the road off to the right, whether it was an actual road or a former railroad line. Any historians with details, please feel free to add what you know! |
