This is how the UP Shoreline Subdivison ends...at a red board just north of the County FF crossing. The Sheboygan local only comes to Haven as needed to deliver lumber for Richco, which is located south of the crossing. Technically they could cross the road, but there's almost no reason for them to unless they had way more cars than usual to set aside north of the spur switch. Beyond the red board, the track continues for another mile or so in an overgrown state, and ends at the Manitowoc County line. CN owned the line north of there, but abandoned south of Newton a few years ago. |
