| While my attention was focused on the unique MoW cars depicted in the previous photographs, this CN train snuck up behind me and halted along Harrison St. at the former Caroline St. grade crossing at the former SOO yard at Neenah, WI, on 20 Feb. '21. The Main St. overpass can be seen in the background to the left. The area between the tracks and Union St., from Main St. to Monroe St., used to be the yard. I don't know when the current, significantly larger yard (extending southwestward from Winneconne Ave.) was built, but a map from 1909 shows the yard still here. |
