Here is a photo by Frederick A. Bonke that was taken at the New York World's Fair on 15 August 1939. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1187, an H-3E (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during January of 1888 and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. Partially visible at the right is PRR engine #6759, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata during June of 1930 and retired in August of 1955. ("JpsPcc6992" B; #2 of 2) |
