The 2024 had been undergoing emissions testing at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio and was going to be used by Wabtec to correlate its emission tester at Fort Worth. The hood section above the prime mover on GECX preproduction ET44AC units 2020-2044 was as high as the radiator, but this was lowered on production locomotives. |
