| This is the second SD45B to be numbered ATSF 5502. This unit was completed in October 1986 and replaces the original ATSF 5502 which was wrecked earlier in 1986. This confusing reuse of a number makes unit history interesting, only defined by the date of the photo. Before October 1986, it's the first ATSF 5502.
