Rare unit, now an organ donor  Contributor's Pick!
My wife had an appointment in Springdale recently, so while she was taking care of that, I drove over to the A&M to see what was up. This T 6 was outside the shop. There were only 55 of these built, 40 of them going to N&W. Arkansas & Missouri has four. Sad to see this one is no longer in service, but it will help keep the others running-see comment below.

Gary Everhart General The AM shops sure must know how to treat Alco locos well! This unit looks great! 10/12/2021 5:16:38 AM
Steve Coraggio General Awesome shot and nice to see this locomotive still running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/12/2021 9:28:34 AM
Tim Darnell General I agree with all above! 10/12/2021 9:39:55 AM
Ian Hilderbrand General Actually, according to Alex Holtby (who I work with over there), it's been pulled out of the 'bone yard' for spare parts and hasn't worked for a while. Most likely to keep 14 running. 10/18/2021 5:10:20 PM
Scott Crotwell General Terrific roster shot! 1/13/2022 7:31:22 AM
