RBMN 1166         
Built by Budd in 1947 (lot 2198) as New York Central 44 seat diner #448..to Penn Central #4548 in 1968...sold to High Iron Company 1969...renumbered back to #448, lettered American Freedom Train and used on test runs with 4-8-4 #1 but never used on the AFT. Stored in New Orleans (dates?) then sold to private ownership in 2008. Upgraded to Amtrak specs by 2009 and assigned the reporting marks SMLX and Amtrak private car number 800612, later changed to 800448. Sold to Iowa Pacific in 2014 and leased by Burlington Northern Santa Fe until August 2015. Returned to Iowa Pacific and painted/wrapped in Illinois Central colors. Sold to Reading and Northern at auction in 2021 and renumbered RBMN 1166.
