Within the year, UP will replace the unit with a gutless trackmobile to switch a dozen customers within the SF basin. With poor service and endless trackmobile problems, a regular switcher will return but the damage was done. Most customers give up on rail and UP negotiates with SP to tswitch remaining customers.
