Here is the 23rd of 32 color prints of calendar art works that were commissioned by the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1925 through 1958. Shown here is Grif Teller's painting entitled "Progressive Power." It was published originally in 1948. Depicted in the foreground (R to L) are PRR engine #5900 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5900 was built in September of 1945. Also depicted is PRR engine #6184, a Q-2 (4-4-6-4) "Duplex" built in Juniata during April of 1945 and retired in December of 1953.
