Shown here is Grif Teller's painting entitled "Dynamic Progress." It was published originally in 1956. Depicted in the foreground is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. In this context, it's on the return leg of its daily roundtrip run from New York City to Pittsburgh and back. |
