Long before a GP40 wore the B&O number 4041, this Baldwin 2-8-2 Mikado had the honor. Built in April of 1911, it was rebuilt and reclassified several times during its years of service. The loco was retired and scrapped in May of 1954 at Fairmont, WV. Specs - serial #36408, class Q-1, 64" drivers, 205 psi boiler pressure, 24x32" cylinders, engine weight of 276,050 lb, tractive effort of 50,184 lb.
