BM 4-8-2 #4116 - Boston & Maine
Named "American Progress" in the naming contest held by the Boston & Maine when the loco was delivered, it was an appropriate name since this was the epitome of a Mountain type locomotive. It was built by Baldwin in June of 1941 during WWII but the loco only served the B&M about 14 years before being scrapped in September of 1955. Specs - serial #62539, class R-1d, 73" drivers, 28x31" cylinders, engine weight of 415,200 lb, tractive effort of 67,900 lb. Unknown photographer
