Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8724, a BS-24M built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in October of 1952, rated at 2,400 horsepower, and retired in October of 1967 after just 15 years of service. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded.
