Personal PC. Here is a postal card entitled "Wilmington, Delaware." Postmarked: 25 July 1961. Sent to me by Lois (Burket) Ayers, my mother. Caption On Reverse: "From Brandywine Park can be seen the present B & O bridge that was built in 1910. Ten years later, the old railroad bridge (which can be seen through the arches) was converted into a crossing highway for use by the public and is now known as Augustine Cut-Off Bridge. The original swing span was replaced by the more substantial suspension bridge that serves Wilmington today. Just below it is the old swinging foot bridge that crosses Brandywine Creek.
