A CN local passes the former C&NW depot at Kaukauna, WI, on 17 Apr. '22. The depot was built in 1947 at the intersection of Depot St. and Draper St., to replace the old, wooden depot. Designed in the Art Moderne style, it originally had flat roofs. The current, gabled roofs were added at some point after 1983. It was once known as the north side depot, as opposed to the MLS&W south side depot. That large, ornate depot disappeared many years ago. I couldn't shoot through the fence at this angle, so I had to hold my camera above the fence and spray and pray. |
