| FM. Here is an image of a photo by Fred McLeod that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, in August of 1948. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5863 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5863 was constructed in February of 1948. In this context, this A-A set is pulling a passenger train under four-track Signal Bridge #2417 on its way down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona and points East.
