Unfortunately I did end up spending just a little too much time on the Waterlevel Route, as the second run of the business car had already left Hillsdale before I could get up there. I did, however, make it to the curve at Thompsan Road north of Allen, MI well before the train got there. I met fellow railfans Ethan Hopper and Noah Smith trackside there and we followed the train back to Coldwater from there. Leading todays train was INER 1601, one of 3 high hood GP9s featured on the INER roster, facing nose out nonetheless! A fantastic combination! |
