| The Finnish-Swedish railway border station Haparanda (in Finnish Haaparanta, but on Swedish soil) is the only railway connection from Sweden to eastern Europe. For that reason the European and Finnish track widths meet here. Haparanda railway station is one of the biggest countryside railway stations in Sweden. Today only a few trains crossing here daily. |
