The one ubiquitous feature of almost all of these high plains towns is the grain elevator, though many of the smaller ones have gone to trucks as the railroads priced them out for lack of volume, or theyve closed entirely. This one here at Deer Trail is still viable, but no longer rail served. The oil train passes on a Saturday morning. |
